Sweet Orange Essential Oil

Sweet Orange Essential Oil is a key ingredient in OmMade Vitamin C Face Scrub. It is derived from the Navel orange, grown and hand picked throughout Australia. The Navel orange tree produces a seedless fruit with what looks like a human belly button – hence the name “Navel”. 

In Australia the Navel Orange is grown for wholesale fruit markets, juicing and for essential oil extraction. The essential oil is extracted from the outer part of the orange peel using water and a cold press. The oil is then separated from the water creating a pure essential oil product. It takes approximately 500kg of fruit to produce 1kg of essential oil from the peel. The rest of the fruit is used for juicing and stock feed supplementation so no part of the fruit goes to waste. 

The essential oil is used in skin care products not only for is cheerful and uplifting smell but also for its ability to improve the appearance of healthy skin. Sweet orange oil may reduce skin irritations, redness, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. It has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, which inhibit anti microbial growth. 

Magnesium  is one of the most essential minerals for the human body. Magnesium aids in protein synthesis and energy regulation at the cellular level. It also softens, tones, activates enzymes, and facilitates detoxification. Magnesium in the form of Hydroxide is readily absorbed through the skin. 
Vitamin C Powder (Ascorbic Acid) is one of the most powerful antioxidants in skin care. It helps slow down the aging process by preventing free radical damage. Long-term topical use has been clinically shown to regenerate collagen and improve the appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin C also lightens pigmentation and brightens over all skin tone.

INGREDIENTS: Cold Press Virgin Olive Oil (Chemical Free),  Unrefined Shea Butter*, Vitamin C Powder, Magnesium Hydroxide Powder, Sweet Orange Essential Oil*. [*Denotes Organic].

DIRECTIONS: Massage gently into dry skin. Remove with a hot/ warm face washer.
