Vegan friendly and with no flavour and coated in candelilla wax. The dental floss fibre is produced from 20% algal seaweed and 80% organic cotton.

Sea Algae dental floss is eco friendly and compostable. There is no flavour or dyes used in the floss. A sugar like powder is produced from algal seaweed which is then transformed into a water-based gel. This gel is then extruded into long fibre strands and combined with organic cotton. 

Algae-based fibre is strong and flexible according to an article published in Scientific America. 

The water footprint of algal fibre is comparatively less than that of traditional fibres.
